Parker Trade Shows is preparing the final touches for what is slated to be their biggest show yet. Parker Trade Shows, owned by Event Show Management, is scheduled to return to the San Antonio Event Center November 18th – 20th. Just in time for the holiday season, this boutique cash and carry show brings in quality merchandise trending in the accessory, apparel, gift, footwear, home décor, and beauty categories.
Each event is a welcoming and intimate environment for buyers and the approximately one hundred and fifty exhibitors that attend. The product selection mirrors those traditionally found at much larger shows, as Rock Jacobson of Event Show Management explains, “When people need inventory, we want them to think Parker, first.”
On Trend
Particularly for this November show, Event Show Management has focused on bringing in new exhibitors and new merchandise. “We’ve broadened our product offerings extensively,” says Jacobson. “We’ve added health and wellness sections. We’re also expanding into the salon and day spa direction.” As consumers are becoming more and more health-conscious, wellness and beauty industries have been expanding as shoppers are investing more in taking care of themselves. “We’ve really tasked our exhibitors to show us what’s new and what’s trending for this show,” continues Jacobson. “We’re pushing our vendors to show us their best products, and we’re helping them showcase those products through social media campaigns.”
Integrative Experience
Earlier this year, Parker Trade Shows debuted their show-floor fashion show, which has proven a huge success in helping retailers source new products and experiment with different styles. For the November event, Parker is taking their fashion show to the next level. “The models will be walking the show floor the entire weekend to answer questions, allowing retailers to see the products put into practice,” says Jacobson. “We’re turning our show into a red carpet event.” Each of the models in the fashion show will be wearing complete ensembles from a mixture of exhibitors. Everything from apparel, handbags, jewelry, and accessories will be on display and available for purchase. “We’re seeing savvy businesses really gravitating towards trends. They’re not just selling one item – they’re creating experiences and ensembles in their stores with many items,” says Jacobson.
Always Growing
Though Parker Trade Shows has been frequenting the San Antonio Event Center for many years, no event is the same. New exhibitors, new products, new campaigns, and new features are standard for every Parker Trade Show event. “Every show is different,” explains Jacobson. “We are always growing.”
