About three feet high and nearly five feet long, the balloon comes in two varieties, the clown fish and the shark. “Using the remote control, the user gets the Air Swimmer to levitate,” says Rolfson. “With a helicopter you constantly have to be doing something to keep it from getting too high or too low, but the fish is more like a hot air balloon.” While the company mostly focuses on remote control helicopters, the desire for Air Swimmers has been so strong and selling out in so many places, that the wholesaler has been stocking up to meet demand.
Rolfson notes that Air Swimmer is designed to be solely used indoors, as even a slight breeze will set the balloon out of its motion. The product is exactly like a regular balloon on the outside, but with wings and a remote control antenna attached. However, it has many benefits that remote control helicopters simply cannot offer. “Helicopters have been around for a long time, but the problem is they get damaged,” Rolfson adds. “They’re used outdoors, and when you fly them, they sometimes crash and burn and are wiped out. But with Air Swimmers, because it is an indoor product, you don’t have to worry about that kind of wear and tear.” The Air Swimmer is perfect for hobby and toy stores and wholesales for $25, retailing for around $50. IWantToBuyWholesale.com has a $500 minimum for all orders, and if a retailer were to order solely Air Swimmers, they would need to purchase around two dozen to meet the minimum.
