The Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) will hold the Retail Supply Chain Conference February 17-20 at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Orlando, FL. The conference brings together representatives of major retail and consumer segments and service providers, and enables them to network as well as to participate in seminars. A new inventory management component was added to this year’s selection of sessions, which also covers topics such as distribution, transportation and international sourcing. Scheduled speakers include ESPN’s Mike Greenberg, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc.’s president and CEO, Laura Sen, and Chris Wallace (left), host of FOX News Sunday.
Nearly 1,400 retail supply chain executives are expected to travel to the event, where 237 exhibitors and sponsor companies will operate booths. Among those who go to the conference, 36 percent own general merchandise shops; 21 percent sell accessories, apparel and footwear and the remaining 43 percent comprise retailers offering other assorted wares. Fully 95 percent of attendees are VPs, directors and managers.
Standard exhibit spaces are sold out, but companies that wish to be placed on a waiting list may contact Ashley.vandebunte@rila.org or call 703-600-2039. Those on the waiting list who do not receive an exhibit space will be the first to be contacted for the 2014 conference. Attendee registration may be completed online by visiting www.rila.org/events/conferences.
