At the start of 2020, CBD sales were booming, and projections for this emerging category valued it at $20 billion in the U.S. by 2024. Despite the global pandemic we are now facing, the once in a lifetime consumer market continues to develop. As conditions continue, more consumers will look at CBD as a way to relieve their anxiety.

In order to stand out from the competition, CBD retailers need to fully know and understand their customer base. In a survey conducted by The Integer Group in 2019, they found that those most likely to purchase CBD products include Gen Z/Millennials (40%) and shoppers aged 35-44 (21%). Fifty-two percent of consumers use CBD for pain relief, while 39 percent use it for relaxation. The top CBD products purchased are oils/tinctures (48%) and edibles (45%).
