Value Merchandise Expo Set for Late January in New York City

January 5, 2011 by Publisher

The annual Value Merchandise Expo returns to New York January 23 to 25, and space for the show is filling up fast. “The New York show is ahead of schedule with exhibitors booking space weekly,” says Alan Paggao of Value Merchandise Expo LLC. “The balance of buyer and exhibitor participation is the primary driver for a great and profitable trade show experience,” he adds. “Our goal is to create a marketplace where exhibitors or buyers in our industry can positively benefit from attending our shows.”

The idea behind the trade show is to bring retailers and wholesalers together to help reignite the challenging economy by providing value priced products in the marketplace. So far, Paggao says, registration is tracking ahead of schedule thanks to the collaborative efforts of exhibitors and media partners. “It helps that Independent Retailer is promoting the show in addition to our aggressive online, direct marketing, email and telemarketing initiatives to bring in buyers,” he says.

Those companies that have not yet signed on might want to consider doing so. “For the exhibitors, we strive to provide them with an affordable booth price, qualified buyers and great service,” Paggao says. “By following these guidelines, we have provided exhibitors a minimum investment along with minimal exhibiting issues, so they can instead focus on why they exhibit at our shows: to sell their products to the buyers.”

Paggao also notes that his company’s experience in having worked with large trade shows in the past helps them anticipate exhibitors’ and buyers’ expectations to overcome this challenging economy. “We have proven success on previous shows and expect the same on future shows to come,” he says.
