Retailers are always looking for hot, new merchandise, and ASD Las Vegas, held March 17-20, is expecting more than 280 brand new exhibitors. In addition, returning vendors are expected to introduce exciting new products at the show. In today’s competitive market, it is more important than ever to keep your merchandise new and fresh. ASD allows retailers to shop, compare vendors and source just the right product for their businesses, as well as to attend educational sessions on marketing, merchandising, management and more, hosted by industry thought leaders.

Independent Retailer magazine publisher Bill McNulty, for example, will explore clever ways retail store owners can tap into the Buy Local movement to maximize store sales, in his presentation, “How to Capitalize on the Buy Local Movement to Increase Traffic, Customers & Sales in Your Stores.” On Tuesday, March 19, 2013, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., McNulty will outline how each different buying group behaves as well as share tactics retailers can use to motivate millennials, Gen Xer’s, Boomers and Silents to shop. The presentation promises to help retailers harness the power of the Buy Local movement to change buying patterns, instead of reacting to them. The session will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, South Hall, Room 224.
