The National Retail Federation’s annual trade show earned the nickname “Retail’s Big Show” several years ago due to the huge number of attendees, exhibitors and speakers that gather every year. 2017 will be no exception. The show is being held January 15 – 17th, 2017 at the Javits Convention Center in New York City.
300+ Speakers
NRF17 will consist of more than 300 speakers including eleven keynotes, six feature stage sessions, and over fifty-five breakout sessions. Speakers for this show include executives from The Honest Company, Shoes of Prey, Walgreens, Target, IKEA, Crate & Barrel, Google, Barnes and Noble, the National Retail Federation, and many more. Although many of the speakers are from national brands, there is plenty of content for independent retailers. Many of the keynote speakers focus on topics such as the in-store experience, providing a great customer experience, and winning over socially aware customers.
Small Business Experience
Retail’s Big Show has a special program exclusively designed for independent retailers. The small business experience is being held on January 15th. The program includes EXPO tours, which help retailers navigate the show floor and find products and technologies that match small business needs. There are also many breakout sessions on topics such as cyber security, social media, using personality to grow your business, and gaining repeat customers.
Registration is now open. The basic pass, or EXPO Pass, which includes the Small Business Experience, is free for all retailers. The Full Conference Pass, which includes access to keynotes, networking events, break out sessions and more, comes with a fee. Note, however, attractive discounts are available with advance registration.
