With summer upon us, many independent retailers are looking for those suppliers carrying just the right items for the season. In an effort to satisfy these demands, the folks at Buy Wise have stepped in to shift gears a bit and offer some stuff just in time for the warm weather. For example, sundress specials are in stock at the moment–and a really varied assortment, at that. There are approximately ten different styles available, and they all come in different colors and prints. It’s part of what co-owner Debbie Burks calls “Sizzling Summer Savings”. From now through the Fourth of July, the dresses are selling for $72 per dozen.
“We try to have items that are every easy to care for, low maintenance,” says Burks. “It’s vacation time right now, and a lot of our stuff travels very well. A lot of our items are one-size-fits-most, and then for those who are bigger, a lot of items come in the plus sizes. So that makes it easy for the store-owners, that way they dont have to buy a lot of different sizes on the items. As far as the dresses go, it seemed like the right product at the right time. The country is starting to heat up with summer, and we’ve got a good price on an item that people are going to be needing to stay cool.”
Buy Wise is continually look for new items for buyers. Right now, the brand-new line of swarovski crystals continues to be white-hot. “We have high fashion ‘flower’ rings,” says Burks. “They’re kind of on the larger side, but if you look in the fashion magazines, big rings are in right now. So we do carry a collection of those. They’re fun, and they’re feminine, and come in real bright colors. Something fun for summer.”
