With Black Friday just days away, thousands of retailers are preparing to offer countless deals and discounts on their products. Though some may believe shoppers prefer to buy online, research shows consumers spend six times more in-store than online. In fact, 40 percent of consumers make a purchase inside a physical store weekly compared to the 27 percent that shops online weekly. Contrary to some opinions, brick-and-mortar stores still exist and are not going anywhere anytime soon. No, this is not an emotional narrative that’s conveniently ignoring the reality, but it’s a reflection of what consumers think and how the traditional (offline) retail market has been performing in the past few years, despite the presence of online retail stores growing every year.
