KidKusion, a family owned and operated distributor of innovative child safety products, has expanded into a line of fun and artistic baby and child gift merchandise. Every item is developed and tested by parents, and most of the company’s products are made in the USA. KidKusion’s newest introductions are Gummi Teething necklaces and bracelets and ZOO baby splat mats for baby feeding. There is also a line of ZOO baby canvas art for room décor. Initial designs include a giraffe, monkey, owl and hippo.
ZOO baby graphic splat mats are mealtime must-haves, and make great gifts for new parents. Measuring 36 by 48 inches, these vinyl mats are placed under high chairs to catch all the food that escapes baby’s tray. Not only are the mats functional, in that they protect the floor and enable easy after meal cleanup, the colorful animals keep babies amused and in their seats longer than plain mats. “ZOO baby mats are unique because of their large original artwork,” explains Cyndi Bowen, president. “They were designed by our son, Chris, who recently graduated with an art degree.” Mats wholesale for $6 and retail for $12 each. For nurseries, matching ZOO baby canvas art measures 12 by 12 inches. Each of the four animals is available with three different background colors, which are green, blue and pink, to fit any room décor.
New trend in mommy jewelry
Babies like to put everything in their mouths, and mom’s shiny jewelry is often a target for curious babies. New Gummi Teething jewelry from KidKusion, available in an array of colors and designs, allows babies to safely chew on bracelets and necklaces. The latest designs feature a bamboo look for mom and a “Just My Size” bamboo look bracelet for baby, recommended for ages six months and up. The Just My Size line also includes a fun teething watch, available in pink, blue and green. All teething jewelry is safe and nontoxic, and BPA and phthalate free. Gummi Teething jewelry retails from $5 to $10 each. “These products make good gifts for toy stores, card stores, general gift stores and hospital gift shops,” Bowen points out.
KidKusion’s minimum order is $100, and buyers can place orders by calling the company’s toll free number. The firm is in the process of developing point of purchase displays. Retailers are invited to visit KidKusion’s consumer website to gather detailed product information. They can also see the company’s new gift line at the IGES/SSS show in Tennessee, November 5-9, at booth PF8203.
