Established in 1981, J.R. Palacios is the go to business for imported Mexican Western wear. Now offering everything from cowboy hats and Puebla dresses to leather belts and wallets, the company has come a long way from its Mexican arts and crafts origin. “Little by little, customers were asking for different products, so my father expanded the business to include items that were sought after in the Western industry,” says Jesus Palacios, Marketing Manager.
The company is a family run business whose goal is to work closely with their retailers and cater to their Western wear customers. “We really pride ourselves on providing quality made products from Mexico. We are the ones dealing with the manufacturers and seeing where and how these products are made,” notes Palacios. “It is very important to us that the merchandise comes to us clean and made well so we can pass that along to our customers in a timely manner.”
The company has enjoyed great success and has grown over the years. In fact, in 2016 the company will move into a larger facility to accommodate their client’s growing need for products. Constantly developing their product lines, J.R. Palacios also plans to bring in new hat designs and additional lines of decorative items, such as mini saddles and novelties including keychains and blankets.
“These items are becoming more popular all around the U.S.,” adds Palacios, “and can be found almost anywhere. Especially the cowboy hats. They are being worn in many different cities, almost as a staple depending on the area. These are products that anyone can use, and we are providing them at a terrific price and with great service.”
